SoonerCon 2007 Business Cards

How many of these were handed out, I dunno.

The saucer in the above version is, of course, snagged from Earth vs. the Flying Saucers.
For the lower one, I took a Paul Cherry drawing of Boomer and supered the saucer over him.

How many of you were there?

The Third and Final Part of SoonerCon 2007's Program Book

The Oklahoma Friends of NRA chapter has been an advertiser since the SoonerCon reboot.  Various ConComm members have worked at some of their banquets and raised thousands of dollars in support of SoonerCon.

As you might have guessed, the retro-type fill art are from various image searches of the interwebs.

With the in-color inside and exterior rear covers, we conclude this share of SoonerCon 2007's Program Book.  Thanks for noshing on memories with me!

The Second Part of Soonercon 2007's Program Book

Pages 9-20.
Yes, "Sinnercon" was our dance, adults only.  I'm thankful that nowadays the dance is for all ages!  That way we're training a new generation, right?
More filler art provided by SoonerCon Immortal Friend Kevin Hopkins.

As you know, Keith Birdsong died in June, 2019.  This Okie artist is missed!
Bibliotech of Shawnee is another perennial and always-appreciated advertiser.

Ol' Larry has never chafed me about this nickname for him which I invented.  Larry, tell me to stop, and I will!  Promise!

I'd recently begun to work for the thrift store whose ad is above.  They were gracious enough to let the con borrow one of their box trucks.  Specifically, we used the truck as locked storage for con equipment -- a great boon, at the time.
Well, that's all for this installment, friends!  There're about 10-12 pages left.

The First Part of SoonerCon 2007's Program Book

SoonerCon 2007 was held June 8-9-10, 2007.  In some ways it was as big a gamble as SoonerCon 2006, the first "new" SoonerCon.  Had we made a good impression on fans and pros in 2006?  Would anybody come back?
Our understated, chilling cover is by the late Keith Birdsong.

PowerLift has been a SoonerCon sponsor since the beginning.

Here was a brief history page regarding the original SoonerCons.

That's all for this time!

SoonerCon 2007 Press!

This coverage is from the June 6, 2007 Oklahoma Gazette.
The above small listing was in the stream of things-to-do-this-coming-week.  A heftier write-up is below.
Among other goings-on was a shadow-cast presentation of Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Am I silly to report that the dancing lips were my favorite?

See you next time!

SoonerCon 2007 - Coverage from The Oklahoman

SoonerCon 2007 was held June 8-9-10, 2007.  Here's coverage from our friend Matthew Price from Friday morning's Oklahoman:
And we'll see you another time!
